Recruiting Training is About Process Not Personality

Recruiters act as consultants to their employer clients. It's the Recruiter's job to find candidates with the skill sets a specific position requires and the personality that meshes with the company culture. There is a mystique about what Recruiters do and myths that prevail about the super human sales power needed to be a good Recruiter. Recruiting is about process not personality and no super powers are necessary.

They also conduct evaluations and solicit feedback after the candidate has been hired and has settled in the new position. Certainly, it is worth passing a resume to one of these companies, as they aim to help both parties and assist in the whole process, assuring you that you get a job you really want.

Auditory Working Memory - What is it, and Why is it so Important?

You've heard the expression: It goes in one ear and out the other. For individuals with sub-optimal auditory working memory, this is pretty close to the truth.
What is auditory working memory (AWM) exactly? It is one part of the two part working memory system. One part is the visual-spatial sketchpad and the other is the verbal loop, often called the phonological loop. It is the latter that is usually referred to as AWM. Relevant information is held in this auditory "storage" while a cognitive activity is completed (e.g. a multi-step math problem or remembering a teacher's lecture long enough to get pertinent information written in the notes).

Math - Roles of Teachers Parents in North America/Europe Versus Those in the Far East/South Asia

A maths tuition marketing by Scotts Digital, a Singapore marketing company for maths tuition in Singapore.:-

Around the world, math teachers are teaching similar math materials, but the major differentiator between these regional groups is the level of stress given to learning the basics by math teachers in the Far East and South Asia.

In North America, course outlines, which are provided through school districts and boards, outline mandatory material that must be covered within each area of study. For example, with grade one or 5 to 6 year old students, mathematics are taught as a more abstract component of learning. In many instances, calculators are introduced and accepted as necessary at this age. There is a stated requirement that all children must understand the multiplication table along with performing long division, on paper, by the time they complete grade 5 or age 10 to 11.

Unfortunately, the time given to students to perfect their times tables, along with long division, or even long addition or subtraction, is very little. Children are introduced to applying math in real life examples and to notice how math is everywhere. Our findings of North American parents with children in elementary school indicated that the type of math problems being taught were very confusing, and were, in most instances, unable to help their child. The general lifestyle of North American parents (2 working parents), who live on their own, greatly reduced the amount of time they spent helping their children.

In the Far East and South Asia, schools are also provided with guidelines, but there is a strong emphasis on repetition and memorizing. Therefore, because students are not permitted to use a calculator, by the nature of repetition and memory (also known as neuroplasticity), become excellent in mathematics, to the point where they could answer many problems faster than with the use of a calculator. Children as young as 6 years could recite the answers to random multiplication problems into the 16 times table. Parents and grandparents spend, on average, 2 hours every day working with their children or grandchildren after school.

There also exists a competition factor in the Far East and South Asia. Parents push their children to excel so their children will be better positioned to help the family with a better paying job when they finish their schooling. This type of competitive atmosphere, with help from Parents, is producing some of the worlds brightest students. Almost every North American Fortune 1000 company has recruiters ready to hire the top students as they exit school from the Far East and South Asia.

Research has also indicated a general decline in technology-related research & development in North America, with the bulk of this research now being performed in the Far East and South Asia. Many believe this to be the result of the low cost to hire. While this is true, there should be an understanding that Fortune 1000 companies will hire those with genuine talents and skills - regardless of where you live.

With the old world method of teaching math, North American and certain European countries: placed Man on the moon, developed computers and software designed to run those computers, developed nuclear power, engineered some of the best architectural wonders and produced most of the leading thinkers the world has ever known.

In conclusion, elementary school students should be provided a system of learning that is effective at stressing the basics, so children can be prepared for a future without limits.

Gaming Desktop Computers - Best Gaming PC

Gaming desktop computers are built to process the huge amounts of information available while playing massive role-playing games or first-person shooters, especially while online. These games contain incredible detail and often require quick reactions. A gamer is only as good as the computer on these games, and the difference between success and failure could lie in whether a computer lags a second or two behind. Many of these computers use liquid cooling technology.

Gaming desktop computers are also built to conveniently handle all the peripheral devices that go along with those games, including ports for joysticks, steering wheels and any other devices. They are also built with more style and portability than normal computers.

Some of the cheapest gaming desktop computers are those that are built specifically by the person who will be playing them. Often a gaming PC just as powerful can be found for the same amount of money.

The other option is to purchase a specific gaming computer that has been built for that purpose. A cheap gaming desktop can be had for around $1,500, while others can run as much $8,000.

Regardless of which option is used, there are a few things the buyer should keep in mind. A fast central processing unit (CPU) will help prevent the lag that can occur during massive online role-playing games. Some of the best gaming PC units will contain dual or quad core processors for those indulging in extreme gaming experiences.

Memory is also important for successful PC gaming. A large amount of memory is necessary to allow the gaming computer to quickly access programs it uses on a regular basis. The best gaming desktop PC will have at least two gigabytes of RAM memory and could have up to eight gigabytes.

Many computer games have realistic-looking graphics, but without a high end graphics card the images will not look nearly as good as they were intended. Graphics cards often can be upgraded.

With a desktop gaming computer, the whole package is important. A fast central processing unit and lots of memory will not be enough if the graphics card is below par.

Investing in a good desktop gaming computer can mean the difference between life and death in the often realistic and complex world of online gaming.

Government Hiring Process: Best Practices

Federal hiring processes have been aligned to replicate practices similar to private sectors. In 2002 the first change was to replace the standard of the top three qualified rule services performed through Human Resources (HR). It's been replaced with the opportunity for managers to review all qualified candidate who meet the standards. The intent was to allow the manager the ability to select the best fit to the department's situations and expedite candidate selection. In order to maintain best practices for the government hiring process, manager's need to be informed on hiring competences, reviewing job responsibilities, performing pre-evaluation of best candidates, and probationary evaluations based on performance ability.

The government hiring process envisioned costs savings with the manager's participation in candidate selection during the first round of available and qualified candidates. Involving the actual site of proposed employment established best practices, rather than allowing candidate selections to be made only by the independent federal HR business sectors or agency. In most cases candidates are part of the local community making it easier to verify skills. Best practices were part of maintaining centralized posting systems, widening the search ability for non-local residents with the appropriate qualifications. New workers may find the systems difficult to maneuver with multiple agencies sharing posting screens and having the own form of applications.

Government hiring policies and directives are linked to the automated systems with specific instructions that must be followed with accuracy. As part of the best practices, federal HR systems have been redesigned forwarding only submissions that are complete, incomplete submissions may be rejected. The automated browsing is meant to increase efficacy, forwarding only qualified submissions to the next process for review. Today best practices evaluate experience, proficiency and job tasks requirements specific to the job. Like private employers, education levels, training and certifications may also be part of the review process when selecting the best qualified.

Government hiring policies share another trait similar to private employers, classifying jobs as competitive service, which is a method of ranking against a matrix of job requirements and qualifications. In some cases federal HR require specialized tasks or expert qualifications and government hiring may not allow for private employment equivalents. A second classification is called excepted service, which is applicable to special service agencies for law enforcement or national security. These agencies set their own criteria according to the agency's objectives, which may fall outside the normal government hiring processing, standards and regulations.

4 Unwritten Rules of an Employee Referral Program: Recruiters

Just as employees exist at one end of the employee referral program responsible for identifying and referring candidates who can be hired, recruiters exist at the other end of the program to anchor the initiative and ensure its smooth operation. Since they are accountable for the recruiting budget, they play a key role in designing and launching the referral program. Recruiters are the ones responsible for day-to-day running of the program as well as ensuring all relevant stakeholders are kept informed on the latest updates.

Gaming Netbook Review - Asus G51VX-A1 15.6-inch

There is no doubt that the market segment for gaming notebooks is on the rise and Asus is cashing in on this trend by seemingly being one step ahead of the rest. A few years ago, it was unthinkable for a laptop to make a fitting replacement for the desktop as a gaming device. Today, gamers have access to awesome portables due to technology advances.

At the very least, a notebook for gaming should have topnotch processing capabilities, a dedicated graphics chip, and a hefty RAM. The processor should be extremely powerful to handle steep requirements. Arguably, a dedicated graphics chip is what every gamer out there would need for a truly great gaming experience. The RAM has to be big enough for the games to run without apparent glitches.

In this regard, the Asus G51VX-A1 is perfect since it has a GeForce GTX 260M dedicated graphics chip with 1GB of VRAM. With a 14.6" x 10.3" x 1.3"-1.6" measurement and a weight of 7.26 lbs., the Asus G51VX-A1 is far from what would be considered to be very portable.

Even without knowing its specs, a glance at the Asus G51VX-A1 would indicate that it is what is - a gamer's laptop. Its graphics and the logo in the center that says "Republic of Gamers" should do the trick, if nothing else.

This laptop has a full-sized keyboard with number pads that are independent of each other. Its palmrests are lined with rubber and the trackpad has metal buttons.

The Asus G51VX-A1 is packed with serious features such as a 640GB of hard disk space, a DVD Super Multi drive, and exterior ports that include USB (4), HDMI, FireWire, VGA, Ethernet, eSATA and an ExpressCard. It is also equipped with wireless bgn capability, Bluetooth and a multiple card reader.

Also filling gaming needs to a T is its 15.6-inch display that has a 16:9 aspect-ratio and a 1920×1080 resolution. Preloaded software include Asus' proprietary software like Data Security manager, Winflash, Splendid Utility and Smart Logon Manager.

Definitely, the Asus G51VX-A1 is capable of supporting office applications. For gaming, some gamers argue that the GeForce GTX 260M doesn't perform as well as dual 280M graphic chips found in the most expensive models but we think that it does the job well. Battery life lasts for 2.5 hours but with heavy gaming, the power would go out after 1.5 hours.

SPECS - AVAILABLE OPTIONS (From Asus' website)

CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 (2GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 6MB Cache)

RAM - 4GB DDR2-800 SDRAM (2GB x 2)

Screen Size - 15.6 inch WUXGA FHD LCD display 1920x1080

Operating System - Windows Vista Home Premium (SP1, 64-bit)

Battery Life - Around 2 and a half hours

Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M 1GB GDDR3 memory

Pros

We like the Asus G51VX-A1 for its gaming capabilities and its sturdy build. Notable also is the laptop's 1GB of VRAM. The price paid for the laptop is certainly worth it.

Cons

For a gaming laptop this great, we'd want more unplugged time. It would have been awesome if they had worked to extend its power.

Conclusion

The Asus G51VX-A1 meets the minimum requirements for a gaming laptop. What surprises us is its lower price when compared to other gaming laptops that bear similar specs. If you're in the market for a gaming laptop, the Asus G51VX-A1 merits a second look.

Math Games For Kids to Practice Number Skills

A maths tuition article by Scotts Digital, a Singapore marketing company for maths tuition in Singapore.:-

By introducing a few fun math games into the classroom or homework schedule, you will change 'I HATE math!' into 'I LOVE math!'.

Best of all, children don't even know they're doing math when it is this much fun. Just make sure that kids are challenged.

Included below are a few fun math games for kids for use at home or in the classroom. These are games that practice number skills.

Higher or Lower
This is a perfect math game for practicing order of numbers.
You can use numbers that have 2 digits, 3 digits or more.
To begin select the upper and lower number limits, e.g. between 10 and 100.
One player selects a number and records it on a piece of paper.
The other player/s guesses what they think the number might be. For every guess the first player tells if the chosen number is higher or lower. Keep playing until the number is guessed.

Find It First
Use this fun math game to practice basic times tables (or addition, subtraction or division also).
Simply write the answers to tables you are going to practice, randomly over the board or a piece of paper, e.g. to practice eight times tables write - 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 etc. To make the game a bit more challenging, you can add a few other numbers.
Two kids stand or sit either side to the numbers and a multiplication table is given, e.g. 7 multiplied by 8.
Kids compete to be the first to point to the answer.
The first point to the answer, scores a point and the first to have three points is the winner.
This game works well as a whole class game with children representing their team or have a tournament to find who the class champion is with each child having a go.

Largest Number
This is one of my favorites. It is a simple and fun math game that always motivates children.
Each person rolls the dice. Use
-3 dice for children to practice 3 digit numbers
-4 dice for children to practice 4 digit numbers
-5 dice for children to practice 5 digit numbers
-6 dice for children to practice 6 digit numbers
Each person rolls the dice and records the numbers shown, e.g. 3 4 1 6.
The players then organize the digits to make the largest possible number that they can, e.g. 6431.
The player with the highest number receives 1 point.

Twenty Questions Number Game
No equipment is needed for this children's math game.
First choose a number within the range to be played, e.g. 1- 20, 1-100, 100-1000.
The number is recorded on a piece of paper but not shown to the others.
The other players then ask questions to help them to identify the number.
Only yes/no questions can be used.
Encourage children to ask general questions to begin with, e.g. Is it odd? Is it more than 50? Instead of trying to guess the number, e.g. Is it 38?

Using games in math offers so much more than just fun. These games also help to develop a deep understanding of number concepts and a confident attitude towards a sometimes unpopular subject. Don't be surprised when hear, 'Gee that was fun! Can we do it again?'

HP Laptops and Desktop PCs Overview - An Introduction to the Pavilion and ENVY Series and More

Hewlett Packard has always been among the leading providers of computers to businesses and home users both. There are so many types of computers available, ranging from desktops to tablets. Consumers can always expect the latest technology, hardware, and software when it comes to HP laptops and desktop PCs.

The series that appeal to most users include ENVY, Pavilion, and TouchSmart. These lines of PCs are updated on a regular basis with the newest IT technologies. There is also a wide range of accessories and peripherals available. They are optional and can be added with most laptops and desktops.

What kind of HP PC or tablet are you looking for?

About HP Laptops

The brand offers every type of laptop you can imagine: high-performance, business, educational, hybrid, ultra-books, touchscreens, etc. There are laptops with large displays that can be used in place of desktops. Ultra-portable machines are available if you want something you can carry around.

Some of the HP Pavilion and TouchSmart models come with touchscreen capabilities. You can swipe and tap your way around the Windows 8 interface. They have light and thin designs. Some of these touchscreens are even available in different colors.

If you want an ultra-performance laptop, you will find that there are several to choose from. They can be equipped with powerful processors, graphics, high-amounts of memory, large hard drives, and so forth. The Select Editions of HP ENVY models are very popular gaming laptops that offer good performance and speed.

Although most of the current line of laptops comes with the Windows 8 or 8.1 Operating System, there are still a few ultra-thin notebooks available with either the Chrome OS or Android system. The new SlateBook, for instance, is powered by the Android OS and a NVIDIA Tegra processor.

HP Desktop PCs

The desktops are customizable and expandable. There is always room for more if you need extra memory or storage space. Even the lowest priced machines have a bit of room for upgrades.

Like the laptops, there are many types of desktops available, ranging from everyday computing PCs to all-in-one machines. They all come equipped with either 3rd or 4th Generation processors. Since they are customizable, you can choose the features you need when you place your order. Every desktop comes with a base configuration that you can stick with when placing your order or select upgrades.

The all-in-one machines range from 20-inches to 23-inches. These are nicely built computers that make a great addition to any family room or living room. All of the components aside from the keyboard and mouse are built into the back of the display.

Speaking of displays, HP desktop PCs don't automatically come with them. This is good news if you don't need one. They come with HDMI or DVI technology which allows for them to be connected to just about any modern high-definition display or television. If you do need a display, you can add one to your order.

HP Pavilion Computers

Easy maintenance, quality builds, essential features, affordability: these are just a few of the benefits that the Pavilion desktops and laptops offer. They belong to Hewlett Packard's Personal Systems Group. If you're not looking for anything fancy, this series is where you should start. You can expect all of the essential components and features you need for regular everyday use.

The laptops in this budget series come with displays of all different sizes. Some of them have the standard 1366x768 resolution, and some have high-definition 1600x900 resolutions. The mid-sized and larger laptops can hold 500 GB to 750 GB of storage space.

The HP Pavilion desktops are known for their sleek black towers. Although the towers are large, they're still not as heavy or as bulky as one might expect. You shouldn't have any problems finding space for one in your home. Speaking of space, these desktops all offer expandability. There is extra room for additional memory, more hard drive space, etc. Some of the higher-end models, such as the Elite series, can even be used for multimedia and gaming.

HP ENVY Series

From ultra-books to powerful desktops, this is perhaps the brand's most versatile line of PCs. The desktops are known for their newest-generation processors and good graphics options. The newer models come with Windows 8.1. If you haven't used Windows 8 yet, you might be surprised at how much more advanced it is compared to Windows 7.

The laptops and ultrabooks come with exclusive technology that ensures their durability. HP CoolSense technology, for instance, detects whenever the system is running demanding programs or applications. The fan is automatically triggered to run faster.

Some of the newer ENVY laptops come with new Leap Motion technology, which is set up like a Nintendo Wii. It detects natural movements and gives users a fully immersive 3D experience. If you want a laptop for entertainment, this one is a must-have.

The hybrid models in the ENVY series are worth mentioning as well. These are notebook and tablet combos. They can be adjusted in tablet form whenever you want to use touchscreen capabilities. You can turn them back into a regular notebook whenever you want to type.

HP TouchSmart PCs

The TouchSmart laptops, ultrabooks, and all-in-one machines are a sub-category of both the Pavilion and ENVY series. If you are looking for a touchscreen PC, this is where you should begin your search. They all offer support for high-definition touch-enabled display technology. You can choose from notebooks and ultrabooks of all sizes as well as all-in-one PCs with displays as large as 23-inches. The technology allows for you to make fluid swiping and tapping movements.

Some of the HP TouchSmart models, such as the 15t and 15z are available in different colors, such as sparkling black and pearl white. Most of the features, including the memory and hard drive, can be configured.

Only computers with 64-bit Windows 8.1 are able to support touchscreen technology. Some of the TouchSmart PCs come with the option to upgrade to Pro 64.

Essentially, all HP laptops and desktop PCs make good investments due to the fact that they are so configurable. They come with enough support for a few years' worth of expansions and upgrades. Since they have a good, sturdy construction, you won't have to worry about them breaking or falling apart.

The Three Mathematical Stages Your Child Needs in Order to Succeed in Math

A maths tutors project by Scotts Digital, a Singapore marketing company for maths tutors in Singapore.:-

If your older child is struggling with math, or your younger child just doesn't seem to understand a math concept, it may be because they skipped over a mathematical stage. There are three mathematical stages that follow the natural development of a child's thinking. If a stage is skipped over while learning a mathematical concept, your child will start to have problems.

The first mathematical stage is the manipulative stage, and as the name suggests, it involves having children use real objects to learn mathematical concepts. The manipulative stage is foundational to everything else a child does with math, so it is very important to teach your child math using real objects. If you skip this crucial step, your child may have problems with math down the road. Don't require memorization of math facts at this stage, just let your child acquire as much practice as possible with physical objects.

Within the manipulative stage, a child will observe and learn about:
o the number of things
o the size of things
o the shape of things
o the pattern of many things

Once your child has had enough practice and experience with real objects, he will be able to imagine objects mentally without seeing or touching them. This next mathematical stage is the mental image stage which is often used along with the manipulative stage until the age of twelve or so.

If you are teaching a math skill and your child says they don't understand it, the most likely problem is that he can't imagine it mentally. The way to solve this problem is by providing your child with lots of manipulative experience so that he can naturally make the switch from the manipulative stage to the mental image stage in a particular math skill.

The last stage, the abstract stage, is where children don't need a mental picture to understand a concept (i.e. they can understand the number eight without seeing eight things in their mind). This stage is more common in upper mathematics courses like algebra and geometry than in elementary mathematics.

Although children go from the manipulative stage to the mental stage to the abstract stage in that order, they can always go back to a previous stage. Where you can start seeing problems is when math workbooks combine several stages in one lesson (i.e. a child is shown pictures of objects (mental image stage) and then asked to use abstract symbols). You will achieve more and go faster if you stay within a child's stage strengths, especially for a child who struggles in math.

You can help your child transition between stages. For example have your child use manipulatives when they are learning to use abstract symbols like 5+5=10. Have him do this until it becomes easy to use the standard arithmetic notation.

If you work with your child's natural mathematical thinking stages, your child's frustration level will drop and math will seem much more doable. When learning a new mathematical concept, just remember to focus first on the manipulative stage, then the mental image stage, followed by the abstract stage. If you do this, your child will succeed at math!

Teaching Math at Home

A maths tutors marketing by Scotts Digital, a Singapore marketing company for maths tutors in Singapore.:-

This article should help you understand the many effective ways of teaching math at home;whether you homeschool your child or simply need help teaching math for homework purposes it is important to further you knowledge of making math fun.

Math is a core subject in education systems wherever you travel in the world and here you will be able to get a head start to your research into the many different ways to make learning math fun and effective for your home students, while at the same time actually enjoying teaching math yourself.

As you will be aware; any successful teacher in or outside of school will constantly reassess their teaching methods and research new strategies for developing a student in order to help ensure that an optimum standard of attainment can be achieved.

How can teaching math at home help?

This should be relevant whatever your situation or reasoning behind teaching a child math at home. Whether you homeschool your child or teach math in a school then you may find it inspiring to hear any new approaches available for you to use that not only make learning math at home more effective for the development of a child or student, but at the same time make it more rewarding for yourself as the teacher.

If you are educating a child at home, then allowing yourself to express your innovative teaching methods in as , but will also encourage enjoyment in the learning process. For many people, this is exactly the reason why homeschooling children is the obvious option. It allows the teachers to have a more direct and individual focus on a child's needs and therefore improves the chances of success in teaching math at home.

Most children would gladly exchange math lessons at home or indeed at school for a ride on a bicycle or a computer game. And most children will also openly and gladly tell you that math is simply 'no fun!'

In that very statement the child has given you a simple objection that is incredibly significant towards understanding how to motivate a child into learning maths. Teaching maths at home makes the solution even more implementable. By integrating games into teaching math at home, a child will be stimulated into learning in such a manner that math lessons at home become an exciting part of the daily routine.

How to merge fun with teaching math at home

There is no substitute for being creative and innovative in the methods and approaches you choose to adopt when educating a child at home. Indeed, if you choose to homeschool then it may in fact be easier to envisage creativity when planning a math lesson due to the absence of bureaucratic constraints you may find in modern education systems. With home learning you have the ability to use games, toys, stories and can give or perform unlimited examples of practical experiments to aid the learning process.

A key phrase to remember and embrace however, when teaching math at home is -

Want to Start a Talent Agency? Where to Begin

A talent retention article for Recruit plus consulting

Those looking to start talent agency careers can rest assured that there is a definite need for such a service in the world today. Contrary to popular belief, they don't just exist in New York, Los Angeles or Beverly Hills, but are also in many localities throughout the country. Though this is true, the amount of unrepresented talent that's out there clearly shows that there aren't enough talent agencies to get them discovered. To put it simply, anyone looking to start talent agency careers should understand the two most important factors to start talent agency work.

Number one is how to find talent. This is probably the easiest part of how to start talent agency careers, because there simply is talent everywhere. Think about that awesome band that was playing out at the bar you and your friends went to that weekend - are they well represented? Or how about that more than skillful illusionist that wowed the crowd at your brother's graduation party? Then there are the models that were looking to get discovered at the auto show that summer. We see this talent all around us, even online - such as those many musicians working hard to put together a CD and posting it on MySpace and Facebook.

Number two in getting to start talent agency businesses is finding gigs (jobs - professionally called "bookings") for these talents to perform at. There is no end to the jobs we can find for these talents. For example, you might find an up-and-coming comedian just trying it out at a club's "open mic" night, or even a singer, who shows bright promise - you can sign them up at jazz clubs or comedy barns anywhere in your local area. For models, you can find spots in catalogs or magazines or even TV commercials. Actors and actresses can also find work in commercials, or plays, corporate training videos, animation voice acting jobs and more. If you'd like to learn more about how to start talent agency businesses in your local area, I'd be happy to tell you more.

Hp Laptops

A Small Beginning.

It all started when two college students, who were ardent fans and users of the computers, decide to set up a small laboratory for their research cum development of a computer printer. They succeeded and their joint venture known by the combination of their names became a household name within no time. Today we know the company as HP or Hewlet- Packard. The name evokes a sense of confidence and quality amongst the common computer users. If the Processors were changed by Intel and the Graphic interface by Microsoft it was HP that revolutionized the printers. The company has not limited itself only to Printers and has now ventured into Desktop, accessories and even HP Laptops.

The Slimmer Brother. The Laptop, also known as the slimmer brother due to its appearance vis-...-vis the Desktop computer has steadily gained prominence over time and is now an important and inseparable part of any frequently traveling computer user. The Laptop was initially slated to be operational for a limited period due to the battery limitation. However, with advancements in Battery technology and availability of better battery materials to hold battery charge it is now possible to operate a Laptop for more than 8 hours at a stretch without charging. The screen, memory and the storage space have also undergone sea change and the Laptops available today are an amazing combination of a high capacity computing processor, a gaming console and also a multimedia station I addition to the normal computer operations.

The HP Laptop.

Though Hewlet- Packard started their joint venture with an aim to create better printers, they had no options but to divert the expertise into the field of computers and accessories. The Hp series of computers are renowned for the quality and efficiency that they promise and provide. The tradition of providing a quality product has been continued with the Hewlet- Packard Laptop. The brand's laptops are not only the best in quality but they also present themselves as sturdy and reliable models that can withstand extreme environmental conditions and even shock and sprays. The Hp Laptop comes across as a machine that can perform a multitude of operation using its High frequency processors (Dual or Quad) and Memory. The Laptop tops in every parameter when compared to any other Laptop across the board.

The Advanced Computing HP Laptops.

Hewlet- Packard has always strived to improvise and provide a product that is better on performance as compared to the model that was rolled out earlier. Thus the stage is set for arrival of better, slimmer and more efficient models. The Hp Laptop combines the speed of high frequency processors, Lightening fast RAM, natural color TFT screen, Graphic accelerator card, 5.1 channel audio supports, DVD and even the Blue Ray drive, multiple USB support, Long-lasting battery and above all a solid and strong body to house these components.

The credibility that the HP Laptops have generated within a short span of entering the market is unbelievable and it indicates only towards the fact that the Laptops are one of the best.

Math Fluency - Reasoning and Understanding

A math tutor project by Scotts Digital, a Singapore marketing company for math tutor in Singapore.

According to the Merriam Webster's Dictionary, to be fluent is "to be capable of moving with ease and grace, effortlessly smooth and flowing, and showing mastery of a subject or skill." It could also be defined as the ability to use mathematics accurately, efficiently, and effortlessly.

What is math fluency?

Math fluency means knowing the right method to correctly solve a mathematical problem with ease and in a relatively short period of time. It is also being comfortable with different approaches to solving a giving problem. The more fluent a person becomes in math, the better and smoother he/she becomes in accurately applying mathematical concepts to real life situations. Reaching good fluency in math requires proper, meaningful and consistent practice. Knowing how to apply a formula to solve a math problem does not necessarily mean one is good in math. It takes much more than applying a math formula to be considered good. Research shows that to be fluent in math, children should be able to accurately answer math questions within 2 seconds.

Reasoning and understanding of concept

A student is considered fluent if he/she is able to:

  • Explain the solution process step by step and explain the reason for each step.
  • Explain the formula and know how the formula came about.
  • Use alternate methods to solve a problem, if one exists.

Building Blocks

It is very important to completely understand the basic building blocks of math in order to achieve mastery of the subject. One should have mastered the concepts of adding, subtracting, multiplication and division before moving on to higher math levels. Although one understands how to perform calculation and has some fluency in math facts, he/she still needs continuous practice. Understanding is essential for math fluency, but not enough; practice and repetition is what creates perfection.

If you are able to establish a link between the math operations and build on them as you advance, you should be able to master the subject with ease.
